банк., амер. Банковский закон 1933 г., закон "О банковской деятельности" ["О банках"\] 1933 г. (бал направлен на преодоление нестабильности финансовой системы; учредил Федеральную корпорацию страхования депозитов и Федеральный комитет по операциям на открытом рынке, предоставил контроль за денежной политикой Федеральной резервной системе, разделил деятельность коммерческих банков и инвестиционных компаний (запрещал коммерческим банкам заниматься брокерской деятельностью), ввел регулирование кредитования и открытия банковских отделений; закон также называют законом Гласса-Стигалла — по фамилиям конгрессменов, продвигавших его проект)
